"Thanks," he whispers. He sort of leans and bumps his shoulder against hers, just in case she's not up for another hug. He smiles wanly. "Hey, let's get outta here, huh? Maybe take a walk? You can show me around from ground-level, and maybe I can show you how my powers really work." He's resorting to his go-to for stress or upset, which is making occasionally bad jokes. "I mean, you gotta admit, that was just pathetic." He forces a brighter grin, then goes so far as to offer Liz his arm, like a real live gentleman.
