Delsin almost doesn't hear him: he's so focused on his his mission that the words sort of delay in registering. He skids to a stop when they penetrate, though, and looks around to figure out where it had come from.

When he spots the guy, he swallows. "Yeah, sure," he lies, and he doesn't even lie well. It's not like he doesn't want to talk to someone. It's not like he doesn't want help. But he has no idea what's going on with himself, and he needs to figure it out.
