Elizabeth closed the door behind him when he came in. Turning to face him, she tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Better," she said, and she hoped he didn't think she was just saying so. "I guess I needed a little time to think. I'm glad you visited, actually."
Mostly because she wasn't sure if she could have been the one to do it. Some small part of her still was scared he was going to not want to be around her. Biting her lip, she debated whether or not she wanted to clarify. In the end, she mustered the courage to do so.
"I've missed your company," she explained, looking a bit shy as she did.
